How we work
Three rules we have not broken yet.
Clear about what it costs
You will know what a thing costs, and what you get for it, before you commit to anything. No dark patterns, no terms buried where nobody reads them, and nothing that makes leaving harder than arriving was.
Useful, as well as warm
Creativity and emotional insight are the easy things to claim. We care as much about practical value: whether a thing actually earns the space it takes up in somebody's day.
Made properly, not quickly
We would rather finish a few things well than ship a great many in a hurry. Whatever we add — an app, a book, something smaller — arrives when it is actually ready, and not before.
